fill in/fill out

这两个短语都表示“填写。其区别在于：fill in 强调“填入”，多用于英国英语。例如：
Fill in the blanks.填入空白处。
 He filled in the outline.他给这个大纲填入细节。

Fill out强调“填好”，多用于美语中。例如：The student filled out the application form.这个学生填好了申请表

■except sb. / sth. 同类中去除若干（排除在外）

■except(to) do：除做某事外（except前有do的形式，后用do；反之，用to do）= but (to) do

■except that--从句（表陈述）：除开某件事情外

■except why/ what/when/where…..：除某事外

■except for ：对整体进行评价描述后再对细节（与整体性质不同）加以纠正，“只是……”

■besides ：除……外还有(包括在之内)

■as well as ：除…外；和，还，而且

■in addition to：除……之外（还有）

■apart from：①=besides除….外（尚有）②except for除…外（别无）

【例句】

They all went to the cinema except Jack. 他们都去看电影了，除TOM没去。

The suit fitted him well except that the color was a little brighter. 这西装很合他的身，只是颜色稍亮了些。

He could do nothing except(but) walk home. 他只有走路回去了。

He had no choice except to walk home. 除了走路回家，他别无选择。

His composition is good, except for(apart from) some spelling mistakes.他的作文，除了个别拼写错误外，还是很好的。

The room is empty except for(apart from) a broken chair. 房间里空空的，只有一把烂椅子。

There are three others in the room besides(apart from/in addition to/as well as) Mary.除Mary外，房间里还有三个其他人。

include/contain/including/included区别

include 动词。"包括、包含；算在内，列在里面" 
My family includes my father，my mother，my brother and me.

including 介词."包括在内" 
There are four people in my family,including me.

included 形容词.用于名词和代词后"包括在内"

contain 动词."包容,装着" 
The box contains ten apples. 
这个盒子里装着十个苹果. 
include 和 contain一个明显的区别是 : include的主语和宾语属于同一范畴;而contain 的主语相当于一个"容器",contain的宾语就是这个"容器"里所含有的东西

特殊注意： include表示部分包括；而contain表示全部包括
