The well-known French author Victor Hugo said in the Hunchback of Notre-Dame that: ”None of the important thoughts of human beings was not write on stones be architectural art. ” When the traditional development pattern which was based on the consumption of large amount of energy begins to fade, the thing that our human beings will write in future buildings must be green thoughts.
Recently with the accelerating economic development, the old development model has restricted the development of Southeast Asian countries to varying degrees. Dynamics for future development can’t set people’s mind at rest, and the economic transformation still faces great difficulties.
The amount and manner of energy consumption decides the sustainability of developing economies. The competition in 21th century starts from the competition of energy consumption patterns. Who use less energy will go further ahead with a stronger dynamic for sustainable development. To realize the economic upgrade and the transition from developing countries to developed countries with minimum energy consumption are the major challenges that confront the Asian emerging economies including Southeast Asian countries.
