Blew Peter’s Helen Skelton has dress Mall-function at London 2012 parade

BLUE Peter presenter Helen Skelton was left red-faced today when her red dress blew up – revealing her undies live on TV during the London 2012 parade.
Blonde Helen was just about to interview Olympic gold medallist Sir Chris Hoy and Paralympic gold winner Sarah Storey in front of Buckingham Palace when the wardrobe Mall-function happened.
As the cycling heroes came on to the stage with Helen's co-presenter Ben Shepherd, a gust of wind blew her frock up above her waist.
Embarrassed Helen, 29, acted faster than a Sir Chris Hoy sprint finish to protect her modesty, pushing her hem down over her legs, shrieking “Oh my word!” before telling Sarah: “You need to hold your medals down – and your skirts down”.
Cheeky Ben then added: “That is one way to welcome them”.
The gaffe left Sir Chris, 36, and Sarah, 35, laughing as they stared in to the crowds to save Helen further embarrassment.
But the kids' favourite proved she was a true professional as she finished the interview to help mark the end of a fantastic parade which brought more than a million people out on to the streets of London.
Her bloomer sparked a quick reaction on Twitter.
One poster called Matt Hopwood wrote: “Helen Skelton flashes what can't have been her personal best just now.”
While Matt Oakley tweeted: “Helen Skelton just flashed her knickers to Sir Chris Hoy. Perfect way to end the Olympics.”
