My highlights of the London Olympic Games Getty image. The routine lasted about 4min and sometimes the girls were underwater for quite a long time. Reuters image. There were 8 teams all together; China were the last team to perform and scored highly on technical points. Getty image. This is the Spanish team performing. I think most people in the audience thought they had the best music and artistic moves, however they lost out to Russia and China in the end. Hello everyone, I'd like to thank everyone who has read my last post. Some of you have left comments on the page, whether positive or more critical, I appreciate you taking the time to write and share your thoughts. Well, after just over two weeks of intensive competition, "the greatest sporting event on the planet" is now over. It's been an exciting two weeks and I was very lucky to have seen three finals in person: the gymnastics 体操 final, the women's 10m platform diving 女子10米跳台 and the team synchronised swimming 团体花样游泳。 My favourite show out of all three was the team synchronised swimming, it had great music, colourful costumes 色彩缤纷的服装 and amazing dance moves. The audience was completely mesmorised 完全入迷了by all of the teams. I kept asking myself, how did they do it? How do you swim upside down and stay still underwater? And to put the icing on the cake 锦上添花, China won the silver medal. The girls and their coaches were ecstatic 狂喜, and the girls pushed their coaches into the diving pool fully clothed in celebration. What a moment! Anyway, here are a few professional pictures from picture agencies to share with you. My own camera simply didn't do the performers justice 我的相机配不上这些运动员的精彩表演 and I was sitting really high up in the crowd. In a little under two weeks, the Paralympics will be here. I am sure there'll be more exciting sporting moments awaits us. Take care Helen |
