Tibet received 58,2000 tourists during the National Day holiday or Golden Week, a year-on-year increase of 22.8 percent, which set a new record this year, according to the local tourism authorities.

From Sept. 30 to Oct. 7, the tourism revenue totaled 247 million yuan with a year-on-year increase of 29 percent.

The longest Golden Week in history met two festivals, Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, which resulted in a boom of domestic tourism.
