The 20th annual Beijing Student Film Festival closed with an awards ceremony at the Beijing Olympic center. The ceremony had a unique youthful energy as even the judges were college students.
The most coveted award, for best film, went to director Feng Xiaogang’s "Back to 1942". Director Guanhu’s "Design of Death" grabbed the best director award, while Huang Bo and Yan Bingyan took home the best actor and actress award respectively. Wang Baoqiang won the most popular actor award for his role in the movie "Lost in Thailand" while Zhang Yuqi was the most popular actress with her role in "White Deer Plain".
Beijing Student Film Festival is now one of the key events for China to promote film culture among college students.
