The Chinese National Academy of Arts and China Oceanwide Group jointly presentedthe second Xinchuan Awards to 60 people from all over China to recognize their work inpassing down intangible cultural heritage.
The awardees include inheritors of Chinese music, dance, art, embroidery, crafts andmedicine. They were nominated by the intangible cultural heritage safeguardingcenters of each province, municipality and autonomous region, and selected by a juryof experts. Founded last year, the awards are presented annually.
