Advantageous Natural Environment
Located in the southwestern border area of China, Pu'er City is the largest oasis on the Tropic of Cancer and reputed as a brilliant "Pearl on the Green Sea", an "Animal and Plant Kingdom" and a "Natural Oxygen Bar". Pu'er features a mild and pleasant climate with an annual average temperature of 18.9 degrees Celsius and neither severe cold in neither winter nor intense heat in summer, for which it is known as "the spring amongst springs, and the spring city amongst spring cities". Nowadays despite the increasingly serious pollution, Pu'er still keeps the excellent rate of its air quality conditions at 100 percent. In the downtown area of Pu'er, the concentration of negative oxygen ions in air per cubic centimeter reaches 12,500, namely 12 times higher than the "clean air" standards specified by the World Health Organization.
