竹枝画法与竹杆画法有些不同，竹枝一般用长锋的小毛笔画，使用中锋，笔要竖直，使用毛笔的笔尖中锋运笔。在画两根竹竿、竹枝时要注意要避免竹节平行对等，画竹时要画出参差的变化，如浓淡、粗细、长短等。如图，多加练习即可。
