A gasoline leak occurred near a light railway station in Chongqing around
11am on Friday, forcing the evacuation of some residents.
More than ten fire tenders rushed to the scene outside Huahuiyuan Station and
flushed water into sewers to dilute the gasoline.
Fire fighters said an explosion was unlikely.
A nearby hospital had its electricity cut off. The rescue headquarters is
arranging an emergency power supply.
Rescuers said the leak was from a nearby filling station where pipelines were
broken during a pressure test.
