LOS ANGELES, July 2 -- Los Angeles-Beijing Creative Industry Park, the first U.S.-basedChinese culture industry park, opened Tuesday in Burbank, Los Angeles.
During his stay in Los Angeles, Cai Wu, China's Culture Minister, visited the park.
Noting that the United States has advantage in technology and culture creativity, Caivoiced the hope that Chinese enterprises will learn from its American counterparts toenhance China's capacity for innovation.
David W. Gordon, Mayor of Burbank, referred to the launch of the park as an "outstandingopportunity" for the two sides to work together.
"From what I understand, it is a very impressive project, it brings together many of thethings we are very interested here in Burbank -- education, training, careers, technique, inthe field of entertainment industry," Gordon told Xinhua.
The park has gathered a number of influential companies in entertainment industry suchas Technicolor Inc., Formosa Interactive and Marza Animation.
