1,Who’s the hero in your mind? Heroes in ancient societies can be called upon to illustrate both sides of this question. In one sense, heroes seemed to be determined, that is 'made,' by a common understanding. Most people simply agreed that heroes were literally 'extraordinary,' and performed astonishing deeds, far beyond the capabilities of the average person.
Some people say that heroes are born and not made, that heroism is a matter of fate, but if heroes are made, who - or what - "makes" them?
Therefore,in my opinion,Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a South African freedom fighter, politician and philanthropist who worked tirelessly in the anti-apartheid campaign. He is a hero because he committed himself to the struggle to obtain equality for everyone in South Africa, stating that he would be “willing to die” for “the ideal of a democratic and free society.”
2,what are the qualities of hero? In the first place, a hero should have a brave heart to conquer any frustrations he may encounter. It is not about how much difficulties and how hard the tasks are. It means he should always believe in his own blief and believe in himself that someday he will surely over come all the bad things in his life. It means persistance.
Secondly, a hero should be willing to help others, and determined to change the world into a better place. He should be thoughtful to the people around. And when disadvantaged groups are treated unfair, he will have enough courage to speak for them. In other words, a hero should care for the society.
Last but not the least, hero would not be afraid to sacrifice his own interests. When he falls into a dilemma, he would preferentially concern about benefits of the majority. As far as I am concerned, a hero is also someone you can look up to, knowing he/she will always catch you when you fall.
3,Who is your Everyday Hero? : My everyday hero is the gentlemen who cleans the toilets at my workplace. He certainly does not earn the highest salary there, but seems to be the happiest employee. Always kind to everyone, everytime we enter the toilette and he is there performing his job, he treats us as if we were arriving to his home's living room. And when we leave, greets the people like if we were to come and visit him back one day, when he would have the opportunity to be the kindest guest again.
In conclusion Being a hero is selflessly doing the best you can in a time of need. But there are things you can do to prepare yourself to take heroic action when the time is right. 1,Educate Yourself – Learn about the world around you. 2,Have Compassion – Practice loving others 3,Network – Become a leader at sharing ideas and dreams 4,Find Inspiration – Study your past heroes 5,Prepare to Sacrifice – A strong commitment often requires deep personal sacrifice |
