my analysis of a movie poster

 

  This picture is a poster of a science fiction movie called "star wars".The whole image describes a structure including the characters,the title and the background.In the poster,we can see the colour of the background is so dark,which could make the movie more mysterious and let the roles in the poster more colourful. What's more,there is a portrait in the picture who is gazing at the viewers and it is  represented by  a large shot which could make viewers feel terrible as well as improving attraction from another aspect.

     Besides,the main character is represented from a frontal angle and it is represented at eye level ,which makes us regonize his significance.Furthermore,the bad character is represented from a distant shot and large shot,which lets us know who is the main villain. In terms of information value,the title of this movie is placed in the middle so that the viewers can see it easily.

       When we see the poster from the whole ,the colour appeals us most.It is the symbol of a science fiction movie and the combination of dark and bright gives viewers a sense of mystery。
