My Analysis of an Public Service Advertisement on Animal Protection I will use CML to analyse the second advertisement.CML has five concepts and questions from consumers and producers,and the following is my analysis.
First of all,all media messages are constructed.It seems that this ad is created by one public service institute.Secondly,media messages are constructed using a creative language with its own rules.This ad shows similarities both people and animals have,which expresses it representing two pictures that people and animals have the same behaviour or are appeared in the same scene.Thirdly,different people experience the same media message differently.The ad has different angles,like house,matermal love,child and so on.Every angle always moves one.Forth,media have embedded values and points of view.This ad conveys us that animals aree the same as us,that we have feelings and love.Finally,media messages are organized to gain profit or power.Apparently the ad is in order to appeal people to love animals much more. |
