        植物学课程是农学类和生物学类各本科专业（农学、植保、园艺、生物科学、生物技术等）的骨干基础课程，对农学类和生物学类专门人才的培养起着极其重要的作用。本课程是以植物为主要研究对象，主要讲述被子植物的形态结构和发育、植物的多样性与分类的基础知识、植物界的系统进化和被子植物主要分科基础。通过本课程教学使学生系统掌握被子植物的形态结构、生长发育和生殖的规律和特征，植物界中各类群的基本特征和种子植物分类的基础知识与重要科、属、种的特征，认识常见的代表植物，了解和掌握植物形态结构和分类的基本技能和方法，为后续课程的学习打下良好的基础。
