There aren’t five books in your bag. (否定句) Is / Are there + 某物 + 某处? 3. A: Are there two pencils in my bag? (一般疑问句) B: Yes, there are.(肯定回答) A: Is there a ruler in it? B: No, there isn’t. (否定回答) 4. There are four books and a ruler on the desk. = There is a ruler and four books on the desk. 5. There be + 某物 / 人 + 某处。 某处有某物 某处有某人 There are 某人 某处。 There are three people in my family. There are 有 Three people 三个人 （某人） In my family 我的家庭（某处） Key points: 肯定句：There be + 某物/人 + 某处。 否定句：There be + not +某物/人 + 某处。 一般疑问句： Be there + 某物/人 + 某处? 肯定回答：Yes, there be. 否定回答：No, there be.
