a whole new world

rampant

traditional practices

dirty secrets

boosted the efficiency

That's my goal

其实你可以大幅度加速这个转化的过程,方法正是“把你的英语用起来”,例如#占领雅虎#。这里的逻辑非常简单:要想会使用英语的词汇,你就得主动去使用它们呀!我真想不出还有什么更好的方法。经过日复一日的#占领雅虎#,伍教练明显感觉到,信手拈来就能用上一些从雅虎新闻中学来并用在评论中的高级表达,例如:

for decades

only to

most if not all

the real deal

at ease

as a consequence of

and the like

以下是伍教练的最新英语作文,500单词左右,欢迎各位从内容和语言上批评指正。

The future influencer need language and science to enlighten the people. I have been working with both of them for a decade.

Language. 16 years ago, I improved my English score in the Chinese CET4/6 (College English Tests) by reading many English novels with the assistance of an electronic dictionary. I invented the Dialysis English method and began to give lectures in the colleges and high schools. The Chinese students learn English to pass exams, only to have poor performance. I show them the idea of 'use it or lose it'. Most if not all the English teaching materials should be replaced by the real deal, to use this foreign language as much as you can in everyday life. I wrote 2 books, hundreds of blogs and thousands of microblogs on the topic of 'How to Use Your English', influencing thousands of Chinese students, many of whom paid for the books as well as my online courses. They can see a whole new world by listening, reading, speaking and writing English. They can also pass the exams at ease and save time for other subjects.

Science. Pseudoscience, quackeries, cults and rumors are rampant in China, especially in the arena of health. Many people suffer from liver or kidney failures, lost their mind and lives as a consequence of the 'alternative medicine' like some traditional practices. As a graduate of health science, I debunked quackeries like homeopathy, reflexology and cupping in my reports. I'm also one of the very few muckrakers of parapsychology. I translated hundreds of scientific documents from Stephen Barrett's Quackwatch and Robert Carroll's Skeptic's Dictionary. They revealed the dirty secrets of astrology, feng shui and the like. Many of my translations and reports are collected by some popular science books. Science is influential for it can save lives and souls. On the other hand, science and technology offer tools of mass communication. My blogs are visited by readers from 130 countries. I recruit students from all over the world by teaching online.

When I put language and science together, I became more influential. I'm an enthusiast of electronic devices such as electronic dictionaries, which boosted the efficiency of vocabulary building. In the age of smartphones and tablets, I make Chinese students live in English lifestyle by reading and watching the latest news from yahoo and BBC World News. The English language combined with the mobile Internet let you reach almost every corner in the world. The Chinese people are smart and hardworking, but they don't have the first hand information, so they need English to understand science by themselves rather than by translations. I show my students how to read the documents on Quackwatch.com and Skepdic.com, so they can see through the tricks of pseudoscience and learn the principles of evidence-based medicine. Finally, they can live better and longer. That's my goal.
