Cleveland Museum of Art ，克利夫兰艺术博物馆，位于美国俄亥俄州克里夫兰市中心以东，是美国最为重要的艺术博物馆之一，於1913年建成，1916年6月正式对外开放，旋即成为美国当时最受欢迎的博物馆之一，被誉为“中西部的艺术重镇”。其藏品总数约有四万多件，尽管数量上不占优势，但不乏精品，特别是其中的东亚艺术品，是为克利夫兰艺术博物馆最为重要的构成部分。
其第三任也是任职时间最长（1958-1983）的馆长李雪曼(Sherman Emery Lee）是位杰出的东亚艺术研究学者，一流的艺术教育家、作家与博物馆馆长，拥有非凡的鉴赏水平。
不过本次名瓷精选所录的官哥类瓷器则全部入藏于他的上一任——威廉·M·米利肯（William M. Milliken）在职期间（1930-1958）。其在位的二十多年，致力于馆藏的扩充与文化传播，接收了包括罗杰斯基金会等一系列重要的捐赠。
