This is great for when students need to look up the definition of a word or do research, but it can also be frustrating for teachers when students instead play games. 在我教书的学校，所有的学生都有iPad。当学生用它来查单词或者搜索时，这是非常好的，但是当学生们玩游戏时，就会让老师很头疼。 It seems that games on iPads or smartphones are popular with everyone: adults, kids, girls, and boys. 似乎手游已经遍及千家万户了，可谓男女通吃老少皆宜啊。 I’d like to know about your experiences with video games. Sometimes I think I am an anomaly, a strange person different than everyone else! I guess for me they are just kind of boring and seem a little pointless. 我觉得这很有意思，因为我从来不喜欢这些游戏。有时我觉得我很反常，和常人不同！对我来说，游戏既无聊又没意义。 It seems like there is no good reason to spend time playing a game. Now, that doesn’t mean I don’t spend time doing other pointless activities. For example, I watch a lot of TV and movies and I really enjoy this, but I don’t enjoy video games. 似乎没有理由能说服我花时间玩游戏。但这并不意味着我不会花时间做其他无意义的活动。例如，我很爱看电视和电影，我真的很喜欢这个，但我不喜欢玩电子游戏。 Maybe it’s because, frankly, I’m really bad at video games. This is a game where you have a fake guitar and you need to push the colored buttons like you are playing the guitar. I got pretty obsessed with this game during middle school and would play it for hours after school. I remember playing so long that my eyes would start to hurt.
