“罐头笑声”是什么？难道是罐头里发出来的笑声？还是像罐头一样的笑声？都不是。其实罐头笑声是一种电视剧里在“观众应该笑”的片段插入的事先录好的笑声。
Canned laughter is fake audience laughter, a separate soundtrack inserted into sitcoms and TV comedies. The mechanical laughter recording is compared to bland canned food that always tastes similar.
“罐头笑声”就是植入连续剧或喜剧中的一段假的观众笑声。由于录了音的笑声播出来总是千篇一律的，就像罐头食品吃起来总是同一味道那样，所以叫作“罐头笑声”。

The truth is, they would invite some audience to the set to watch and record their laugher, but canned laughter is more often the laughter produced and inserted into series and comedies later.
