be from, come from和live in be from和come from一定程度上可以互换。 用动词be + from “来自”，表示一个人在某地出生，有祖籍的意思。 动词词组come from “来自”，简单说从哪里来，但不一定是出生地。对于he, she 和 it，在动词 come后加s。 例： I am from China. 我来自中国。 （我是中国人） I came from China. 我从中国来。 （但不一定是中国人) 用动词live + in表示一个人现在居住某地但是不一定在那里出生。 对于he, she 和 it，在动词 live后加s。 在...，在哪个国家或者城市，前面的介词都用in。
I am from Australia. 我来自澳大利亚。 I live in China. 我住在中国。 He is from Japan. 他来自日本。 She comes from Germany. 她来自德国。 如果加上首都的话，首都放在国家的前面。 （英文中一般越小的地址越靠前，分别用逗号隔开）
I live in Bejing, China. 我住在中国北京。 He lives in London, England. 他住在英国伦敦。
where “哪里”，指地点 用 where 疑问句询问某人来自哪里以及一个地方在哪里。
---Where are you from? 您来自哪里？ ---I'm from Shanghai. 我来自上海。
---Where is Shanghai? 上海在哪里？ ---Shanghai is in China. 上海在中国。 （此处的上海也可以用it指代， It is in China.）
这里也可以直接回答：I'm from Shanghai, China.
在问句中，如果come from 和be from互换的话，应加上助动词do， 例：Where do you come from? where的一些实用表达 Where are you from? 你来自哪里？

Where should I pay？ 我在哪里付款？
