看上去似乎有某种特征

• He came across as a nice guy. 他看上去似乎是一个好人。

• She comes across as a really innocent girl, but in reality she’s definitely been around the block. 她看上去是一个纯真的少女, 但实际上跟多个男人发生了关系。

生活对话模拟：

Betty

I can’t believe we came across your boss at the mall today. 我真不敢相信今天在商场遇到了你的老板。

Yeah that was awkward. But, what did you think of her? 是呀,好尴尬。你觉得她如何?

Betty

Well, actually she came across as a pretty friendly person.  还行呀,看上去是一个很友善的人。

Don’t be fooled. She comes across as a nice woman, but in reality she’s a walking nightmare! 别被骗了。她看上去是不错, 但实际上是一个成真的噩梦。
