INFORMATION FOR THE PATTERN:

MOSS STITCH:
ROW 1: * Knit 1, purl 1 *, work from *-*.
ROW 2: Knit over purl and purl over knit.
Repeat row 2.

INCREASE TIP:
Work until there are 2 stitches left before the marker, 1 yarn over (= 1 stitch increased), work 4 stitches in moss stitch (marker sits in the middle of these stitches), 1 yarn over (= 1 stitch increased). The yarn overs are knitted twisted on the next round. The increased stitches are worked into the moss stitch as you go.

PATTERN:
See diagram A.1. The diagram shows all the rows in the pattern seen from the right side.
----------------------------------------------------------

JUMPER:
The piece is worked in the round with circular needle up to the armhole, then work the front and back pieces separately, back and forth. The sleeves are worked in the round with double pointed needles/ short circular needle.

BODY:
Cast on 200-212-224-236-252-272 stitches with circular needle size 5.5 mm and Alaska. Work rib (= knit 2 /purl 2) for 4 cm. Change to circular needle size 6 mm.

Insert 1 marker at the beginning of the round. Work as follows: ** 6-9-12-15-19-24 stitches in MOSS STITCH – see description above, A.1 (= 24 stitches), * 8 stitches in moss stitch, A.1 over the next 24 stitches *, work from *-* a total of 2 times, 6-9-12-15-19-24 stitches in moss stitch ** (= front piece), insert 1 marker, work from **-** over the stitches on the back piece. Continue pattern in this way. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
When the piece measures 41-42-43-44-45-46 cm divide the piece at the markers. Front and back pieces are worked back and forth separately.

BACK PIECE:
= 100-106-112-118-126-136 stitches. Cast on 6-5-3-1-1-1 stitches for the sleeve (i.e. broader shoulder width) at the end of the next 2 rows = 112-116-118-120-128-138 stitches. The new stitches are worked in moss stitch, the other stitches are worked pattern as before. When the piece measures 19-20-21-22-23-24 cm from where you cast on stitches for the sleeve (the piece has a total length of 60-62-64-66-68-70 cm), place the middle 32-32-34-34-36-36 stitches on a thread for the neck and each shoulder is finished separately (= 40-42-42-43-46-51 stitches on the shoulder). Continue with pattern as before and cast off 1 stitch on the next row from the neck = 39-41-41-42-45-50 stitches. Continue working until the piece measures a total of 62-64-66-68-70-72 cm. Cast off. Work the other shoulder in the same way.

FRONT PIECE:
Work as for back piece until the piece measures 13-14-13-14-13-14 cm from where you cast on new stitches for the sleeve (the piece has a total length of 54-56-56-58-58-60 cm). Place the middle 16-16-18-18-20-20 stitches on a thread for the neck and each shoulder is finished separately (= 48-50-50-51-54-59 stitches on the shoulder).
Continue by casting off for the neck at the beginning of each row from the neck as follows: Cast off 3 stitches a total of 1 time and 2 stitches a total of 3 times = 39-41-41-42-45-50 stitches. Continue working until the piece measures a total of 62-64-66-68-70-72 cm. Cast off. Work the other shoulder in the same way.

SLEEVE:
The sleeves are worked in the round with double pointed needles, you can change to a short circular needle as the number of stitches increases. Cast on 40-40-44-44-48-48 stitches with double pointed needles size 5.5 mm and Alaska. Work rib (= knit 2 / purl 2) for 3 cm. Change to double pointed needles size 6 mm.
Insert 1 marker at the beginning of the round. Work as follows: 8-8-10-10-12-12 stitches in moss stitch, A.1 over the next 24 stitches, 8-8-10-10-12-12 stitches in moss stitch. Continue pattern in this way. When the piece measures 6-6-8-6-6-8 cm increase 1 stitch on each side of the marker – read INCREASE TIP. Increase in this way every 3-2½-2½-2½-2½-2 cm a total of 13-15-14-16-15-16 times = 66-70-72-76-78-80 stitches. Cast off when the piece measures 45-45-45-45-44-42 cm. Work 1 more sleeve.

ASSEMBLY:
Sew in the sleeves.

NECK EDGE:
Knit up from the right side approx. 80 to 96 stitches around the neck (including the stitches from the threads) on short circular needle size 5.5 mm (the number of stitches must be divisible by 4). Work rib (= knit 2 / purl 2) for 3 cm. Cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl.
