2001年上映的影片《美丽心灵》（A Beautiful Mind）是由朗·霍华德执导，罗素·克劳、詹妮弗·康纳利出演的爱情/剧情片。

该片在上映之后就包揽了众多奖项，包括奥斯卡金像奖中的最佳影片和最佳改编剧本、美国金球奖中的剧情类最佳影片、卫星奖（ Annual Satellite Awards）中的最佳原创歌曲以及北美广播影评人协会奖（BFCA，Broadcast Film Critics Association Award）中的最佳影片。

影片的内容直白而又简单，一直在围绕着数学家约翰·纳什的生活而展开描述。约翰·纳什天赋异禀，在博弈论和微分几何学领域的成就更是高于常人。

然而不幸的是，他患有精神分裂症（Schizophrenia）。这种病症使得他常常会出现幻想，他幻想出了一个室友查尔斯和要求他为国效力的威廉·帕彻，这两个“人”都影响着他在学术领域的潜心研究。

在得知丈夫约翰·纳什患有精神疾病后，妻子艾丽西亚并没有选择离开。相反，她想方设法帮助丈夫，希望他能健康起来。尽管过程很艰辛，艾丽西亚都陪着丈夫共同度过。
