鲜花着锦，灿烂热烈，这是苏州城自明代六百余年来玉雕行业的盛景。今日的苏式玉雕，仍然可谓独领风骚。 The scene of Suzhou’s jade carving business has been flourishing since Ming Dynasty and it still takes the lead with new honor nowadays. 髣髴兮若轻云之蔽月，飘飖兮若流风之回雪。空灵、轻盈、秀雅，这是瞿利军对苏式之美的感悟，他是苏州人，生于吴地，长于水巷，少年时积累的国画素养和微雕技术让他对苏式玉雕的美学表现更显游刃有余，万象现于方寸之间。 As if in a light cloud covering the lunar and snow floating around the wind, refined, light and elegant, Suzhou jade carving is appreciated by Qu Lijun in these words. Qu Lijun is a native, born and growing up in his hometown. He became a skillful craftsman by his accumulated study of Chinese painting and micro-carving, which also allow him to be capable of complicated art expression in small details. 苏式的玉雕是潇洒而婉约的，一如他的作品，无论是奔腾的骏马或是独钓的舟翁，线条不急不躁，画面徐徐展开，直线与曲线的融合间，隐匿的是玉石本质的温柔和内敛。 The jade carving is smart and graceful in Suzhou, just like Qu Lijun’s work, whether it is a running steed or a lonely fisherman, the frame line of his works are smooth with no impetuous tendency. The images seem moving. The straight and curved lines are blended with each other to express its gentle and reserved characteristics. 苏式的玉雕是简约而丰富的，几枝斜出的桃花，二三飘飞的浮云，于他的玉雕中构成完美的留白和意蕴，“此时无声胜有声”，犹如一幅描绘虚实意境的文人水墨画。 The jade carving is simple but with abundant connotations. Some branches of peach blossom, together with floating cloud contains more meanings and scene than itself. Silence sometimes sets the voice off. His work is like a traditional Chinese painting with virtuality and reality. 苏式的玉雕是文气和清雅的，闲逸洒脱的兰花翻转自己的花叶，歪斜参差的水乡人家飘扬着渔家烟火，点点玲珑巧思，氤氲着旧日里水乡人文的气息，一幅幅精致的玉图画上，文气淋漓。 The jade carving is gentle and elegant. Leisurely orchid blooming and families living by canals enjoying their dinner are all expressed from his smart design with profound atmosphere of social taste of old days. 《周礼·考工记》云：“知者创物，巧者述之”。前者强调创造中的思维与观念，后者是在已经被创造的事物上做出更精进的演化。瞿利军的玉雕即是如此，从不囿于传统的创作模式，始终适应时代人文精神，不断成就新的苏式玉雕之美。 Knowledgeable people create things, while smart people promote things.
