“当（在）……时候” as/ when/ while的区别，你有更好办法吗？

这三个词都可以用作连词，表时间关系，常常可以互换，但又有区别：

1. while“当（在）……的时候”表主句的动作或事情发生在从句中的动作或事情的进展过程之中；简单地说，就是同时发生！while从句里谓语动词必须是延续性动词，不能是短暂性动词。从句常为进行时态。

He slept while/when I cooked supper. 我烧晚饭时，他睡觉。

You can do the dishes while/when she cooks dinner. 她烧饭时你可以洗洗碗。

While/When she was in Australia, she met a rich businessman and fell in love with him.

在澳大利亚时，她遇到了个富商并坠入爱河。

Please don't talk so loud while others are working. 别人在工作的时候，请勿大声讲话。

注：（从句是进行时，多用while，也有人用when）

Cathy broke her arm while she was playing in the garden.

凯茜在花园里玩的时候摔伤了胳膊。

While they were having a nap, somebody broke into the house.

他们在午睡时，有人闯进他们家。

While he was watching TV, I was working. 他看电视的时候，我在工作。

注：（主句从句都是进行时，一般只用while，不用when，尤其是考试时！！！）

2. when“当（在）……的时候”主句和从句的动作或事情可以同时发生，也可以先后发生。when从句里谓语动词必可以是延续性动词，也可以是短暂性动词。

I was having a bath when the telephone rang.电话铃响的时候我正在洗澡。

She was waiting for a bus when the accident occurred.

车祸发生时她在等公交车。

I always wear gloves when I wash clothes.

我总是戴着手套洗衣服。

She always takes her cellphone when she goes out.

她出门总带着手机。
