During the annual National Day holiday, many Chinese families take trips to popular tourist destinations around the country, resulting in severe overcrowding at those top-rated tourist attractions. The authorities of these tourist spots seize the chance to hike their ticket prices. But I think that raising ticket prices has its upsides and downsides. On the one hand, increasing ticket prices may work to decrease the numbers of tourists at popular tourist spots. When the numbers of tourists are cut down, the natural environment in these localities will become less pressured. On the other hand, the price hikes may cause some families to be unable to pay for their trips. This will deprive them of their chance to appreciate the beautiful scenery of these places they long desire to visit.
