第二 语法 指 示 代 词

指示代词是用来指示或标示人或事物的代词。本单元我们学习的指示代词有this, that, these和those。仔细观察下面例子,然后将结论部分补充完整。

【观察1】

1. This is a key. That is a pen.

2. These are cups. Those are rulers.

3. This is my sister Helen. That is my brother Peter.

4. These are my friends. Those are my parents.

【结论1】

通过观察图片和例子,我们可以发现:

1. this和these指代离说话人较________(近 / 远)的人或物,these是this的复数形式;that和those指代离说话人较________(近 / 远)的人或物,those是that的复数形式。

2. this或that作主语时,be动词用单数形式is,其后表语若为可数名词,用单数形式;these或those作主语时,be动词用复数形式are,其后表语若为可数名词,用复数形式。

【观察2】

1. —Is this / that a quilt?

—Yes, it is. / No, it isn't.

2. —Is this / that your brother?

—Yes, he is. / No, he isn't.

3. —Are these / those his cousins / jackets?

—Yes, they are. / No, they aren't.

【结论2】

通过观察例子,我们可以发现:

1. 含有指示代词(作主语)的句型“This / That is ...”和“These / Those are ...”变为一般疑问句时,需把is和are提至主语前。

2. 对“Is this / that a(n)+表示物的单数名词?”进行简略回答时,常用________代替this或that;对“Is this / that +表示人的单数名词?”进行简略回答时,常用相应的人称代词he / she代替this或that;对“Are these / those+表示人或物的复数名词?”进行简略回答时,用________代替these或those。

3. 巧衔接

人称代词(he / she / they等),物主代词 (my / your / his / her等),及指示代词( this / that / these / those)的使用,能够让语言连贯,层次分明,增强篇章结构的严谨性和逻辑性。如:写句子中第2题的后一句中的my parents可用they代替,与前一句中的my parents紧密相连。第5题的第二句中my brother's name可用his name代替,第三句中的Jim可用he代替,这些都与my brother紧密相连,达到连句成篇的效果。
