端午节适逢高考，用英语介绍一下传统节日？

这是青岛二中最近三模考察的英语作文，介绍传统节日——端午节，要求如下：

假设你是李华，你的英国笔友Jim来信想了解中国的端午节，请给他写封回信，内容包括：

1．节日的由来。

2．节日的风俗。

审题：

这篇作文审题比较简单，明显的两个要点：端午节由来和风俗。但要注意到书信的交际性，和对方要有互动，不能写成说明文。

这篇作文要求具有一定的历史知识，否则可能会闹笑话。如下列举：

He jumped into the Yangtze River.屈原跳进了长江？

People wear zhuyu to honor him.端午人们戴茱萸？

其它一些不妥表达：

But many people dissed him.网络语言小能手！

If you are interested, just fly to China.说得好轻巧啊

He has written a famous poem called Lisao.屈原已经去世，不能再用现在完成时

丰富表达：

Learning that you are curious about/interested in the Dragon Boat Festival，I’m writing to give you a brief introduction.（经典开头）
The Dragon Boat Festival originated from /dates from more than two thousand years ago.（起源于，追溯到）
The Dragon Boat Festival falls on the fifth day of the fifth Chinese lunar month/May 5^th on the Chinese lunar calendar.（注意“农历几月几日”的写法）
People celebrate/observe the festival in memory of/ in honor of/to honor/ to commemorate/ to remember a great poet called Quyuan. （注意“纪念”的写法） memorize错误，“背诵”
He devoted himself to making his country better/served his country heart and soul, but he was unfairly treated.
He was framed(构陷） and banished（流放） from his own country.
He was misunderstood by the king and ended up drowning himself in ...
He committed suicide / killed himself / took his own life/ put his life to an end/ drowned himself in the Miluo River in despair(due to the loss of his country).（注意“自杀”的写法）
After suffering too much injustice, he threw himself into the Miluo River.
People threw rice wrapped in leaves into the river to prevent fish eating his body. fishes少用
Nowadays people attach great value/significance to the festival. It’s a time of family reunion and celebration of a happy life.
