the other day≠改天

the other day = not long ago，意思是几天前、不久以前。而another day意思是改天、又一天、新的一天。

活到明天就可以说live to see/fight another day。

The other day, he cut the grass on his samll lawn.

几天前，他才修理完院子里的草坪。

They don't know whether they will live to see another day, but they continue to search for hope in the realms of darkness.

white day≠白天

white day才不是白天的意思呢？实际上white day = White Valentine's Day，是白色情人节的缩写。还可以表示良辰吉日，white是幸福的、吉利的意思。

白天正确的表达方式是by day，夜里就是by night。要注意，加了the意思就变了！by the day是按天计算，随着时间的意思。

They chose a white day to marry their daughter to Tom.

他们挑选了一个吉日把女儿嫁给了汤姆。

By day, Las Vegas is just a regular city, But it is a playground by night.

一天天、日复一日有几种表达，有day after day、day by day、from day to day、with each passing day。

每天的表达也很多，最简单的是daily，词组有every day、per day、each day、on a daily basis。

今天几号怎么说？

What day is it today？和What's the date today?这两个问日子的问法，大家要注意区分哦！

What day is it today？是问今天是周几，day前面是没有the；而What's the date today?是问今天几号，date前面一定要加the哦！

如果问今天是什么节日就可以说：What holiday is it today？

What day is it today? Today is Monday. 

今天是星期几？周一。

What is the date today ? lt's 10th June.

今天是几号呀？6月10号。

have an off day是什么意思呢？

have an off day意思是不大成功或顺利的一天、状态不佳。
