【总结】对比2018年长沙中考英语真题完形10道题有5道考查形容词副词,今年有4道题。可见形副考点的比例在今年依旧很高。为什么要单独强调这点?第一,“考频高、占比高”表明背单词非常重要;第二,特别要理解单词本身的感情色彩和褒贬态度,后面在阅读题中也出现了对于“情感”推测的题型,比如:第45题和第54题。另外,提醒大家做完一套题后一定要认真去总结,有些词可能具有“正确答案的特质”。比如,今年的的第33题正确答案是thankful,2018年的第38题正确答案是thankfully。

I am Canadian. I started learning French when I was 10 years old. But my whole experience with the language was in the classroom. All of that changed, however, during my last summer of high school. As a 17-year-old girl, I flew across the country by myself for the first time! I headed for Quebec to live in the province with a French-speaking host family, who didn’t speak any English. And I would learn French at a local school.

On the first day of school, all of us students were given a test to determine(测定) our language level. We were required to speak only French all summer.

I made every effort to communicate in a second language by making new friends, seeing movies and even ordering food from restaurants in French. Though I couldn’t understand most of it at the very beginning, the whole experience was exciting and refreshing.

On weekends, my classmates and I took trips to different places around the province. On one trip, we went whale watching on the St. Lawrence River. Even though it was raining, we could see huge whales swimming around our boat. The most memorable part of our trip was a visit to historic Quebec City. Do you enjoy hitting the books? It doesn’t mean you enjoy beating your books with your hand. That may be reasonable if you don’t understand something inside your books. Hitting the books just means that you are studying hard. You can learn a lot when you hit the books. 65. Especially before exams, most students spend a lot of time hitting the books to get good grades.

This is just one example of expressions that can’t be understood by taking them apart(分开) word by word. Expressions like this are called idioms(习语). They are an important part of a culture’s language. Languages and cultures are closely connected. One example of an idiom in the Chinese language is “dui niu tan qin”, or “to play the lute(拨弦乐器) to a cow.” 66. 这意味着某人在说话或写作时不考虑其听众或读者。

Let’s get back to idioms that begin with the word “hit”. 67. There are many of them in English, but it’s not that easy for you to understand.

第一步,确定是书信体。题目只给出了开头,也就是说书信格式中的落款需要自己写。就在刚结束的初二年级结班测试的作文中,还有有部分孩子书信格式错误,例如,Yours和Li Hua写在同一行,或者Yours后面没有逗号,这都是不规范的格式。所以大家一定要注意格式细节。

第二步,分析话题,确定要点。话题就是我们当时说的,与九年级教材Unit 11的2b课文The Winning Team一致。而且,范文中的主要观点和表达都来自课文,例如,第一段最后一句“Anyway, don’t be too hard on yourself.”,第二段第一句“basketball is about team effort”,以及最后一段的“teammate should support and believe in each other”。

第三步,三段式结构,套用“模板”。第一段开头进行寒暄或者交代背景,这其实是英语思维方式的一种。但在这里很容易犯【时态错误】,范文也没有注意这一点:主句I learned是用一般过去时,那么宾语从句时态应遵循『主过从过』原则,所以从句中的“are”要改为“were”。这是我们在屡次作文练习中强调的易错点。第一段后面用一两句话安慰朋友Henry。第二段写了自己对这件事,从篮球运动的特点和Henry自身要做到的事情,这两个方面来发表看法。最后一段从团队和后续要做的事情两个方面提出建议。注意建议句型多样性。范文中用了三种:1. should do…;2. Why not do…/Why don’t you do…;3. promise +that 从句。

综上,从范文我们可以去总结考试对我们学生的要求是什么?熟悉各种体裁的作文格式;论述初中教材上的各种话题;熟练应用各种短语和句型表达。所以,我们日常的作文训练也要从这三个方面去提升。
