health screen是英式英语，而health screening是美式英语。

screen大家更熟悉的意思是屏幕，但screen也可以表示筛查、体检。

physical exam除了可以表示体检，还可以指检查中的体格检查。

check、exam、test这三个词上面讲体检的时候都有出现，都是名词“身体检查”的意思，那它们都有什么区别呢？

check

check作为检查，是不仅限于体检，英文解释是：the process of finding out if something is safe, correct, true, or in the condition it should be，强调过程，适用范围广。

exam

examination是exam的正式表达，作为体检，英文解释是：a set of medical tests，表示整体的、整套的检查。比如post-mortem examination=尸体解剖。

做体检，可以用动词have/undergo表示。

All new employees are required to undergo a medical examination.

所有新职员都需要进行体检。

test

test表示体检，是确定身体健康状态或发现有什么病症。

对具体疾病的检测，是用test for...表示。比如test for HIV=艾滋病检测。检测结果用positive（阳性）和negative（阴性）表示。

test还可以表示由警察或其他专业人员进行的检测，证实是否有违法行为，比如drug test——药物测试，DNA test——DNA检测，breath test——酒驾呼气试验。
