【原】affect 和 effect 长这么像，分得清吗？| 语法梳理

批学生英语作文，发现很多人分不清 affect 和 effect。

这两个单词就差一个字母，意思也有些类似，但是“差之毫厘、失之千里”，不能混淆起来。

首先来看 affect，这是一个及物动词（vt.），意思是“影响…”, “使…受到影响”，例如：

The conflict affected the relations between the two families.

这场争端分歧影响了两家人的关系。

The bad news affected his performance on the stage.

这个坏消息影响了他在舞台上的发挥。

What will this policy affect us?

这个政策将如何影响我们？

而 effect 有两个词性：

① 做及物动词（vt.)，意为“对…产生了（怎样的影响）”；

② 做名词（n.)意为“影响、效果”。看例句：

He effected great changes in the company. 

他使公司发生了巨大的变化。（effect：及物动词）

The new measures effected improvement in the workers’ efficiency.

 新措施对员工工作效率的提升产生了影响。（effect：及物动词）

但做名词事，effect 就表示“影响”，而且是可数名词，常用在句型 have an effect on（对…产生影响）中，如：

The new policy will have a good effect on our company. 

这项新政策将对我们公司产生有利影响。（effect：名词）

综上所述，affect 的用法和含义是不是类似于 have an effect on？

The incident has (...) the company’s reputation. 

这个事件影响了公司的声誉。
