“有一颗玻璃心”英语怎么说？难道说“have a glass heart”吗？

1）Heart of glass

英语中说“有一颗玻璃心”，一般会说“have a heart of glass”，这个相对更加标准。

当然，不排除国外某些歌星在发布歌曲时，会写作“glass heart”（但这个表达，表示那些真的用玻璃做的心形物品，去某电商网站上搜一下）。

看看英语例句：

① Anna has a heart of glass and I think she will never recover from Adam’s refusal to go to her birthday party.

安娜有一颗玻璃心，我觉得她可能无法从亚当拒绝参加她的生日派对的伤痛中恢复过来。

② I didn’t mean it，wow，you really have a heart of glass！

2）The glass is half full.

Glass还可以代表玻璃杯，看看两个短句：

The glass is half full——“这个玻璃杯半杯是满的”；

The glass is half empty——“这个玻璃杯半杯是空的”。

其实，从两句话都是指玻璃杯里只有半杯水。

但是，乐观主义的人就会说The glass is half full，比如这个例句：

① Even Adam failed the exam three times，he still believed that the glass was half full.

即使亚当已经考试挂了三次了，他仍然相信还是有希望的。

如果是悲观主义的人，就会说The glass is half empty，比如这个例句：

3）Look through blue glasses

第三个词组是look through blue glasses，glasses写作复数可以是眼镜——“透过蓝色的眼镜看”，啥意思？

看看英语解释：To have a distorted view of something based on one's preconceived notions or prejudices，也就是基于先入为主的观念或偏见对某件事物带有歪曲的看法。

因此，look through blue glasses相当于戴着有色眼镜去看待，带着偏见去看待的意思。

英语例句：

① Adam，you have already seen what they are capable of，so please stop looking through blue glasses.

亚当，你已经见过他们的能力了，所以别再戴着有色眼镜去看待他们。

② You can’t always look through blue glasses and you should respect people around you.

你不能总带着偏见去看人，你应该要尊重你身边的人。
