Mary doesn’t know Chinese, but she is studying Chinese. She often speaks Chinese to her Chinese friends.

玛丽不会中文，但是她正在学习中文。她经常和她的中国朋友说中文。

Sometimes they don’t understand her because she can’t speak Chinese well.

有时他们不理解她说的话因为她的中文说的不好。

It’s Sunday morning. She goes out. She is walking in the street. She is going to the zoo to see elephants and monkeys, but she doesn’t know how to get there.

星期天的早上。她出门，走在大街上。她要去动物园看大象和猴子，但她不知道怎么去那里。

She asks a Chinese boy. The boy can’t understand her. Then she takes out a pen and a piece of paper.

她问一个中国男孩。那个男孩听不懂她的话。然后她拿出一支笔和一张纸。

She draws an elephant on it, and shows the picture to the boy. The boy understand now, and he shows Mary the way to the zoo.

她在纸上画了一头大象，然后给那个男孩看。男孩现在明白了，他告诉玛丽去动物园的路。
