【案例赏析】杭州 · 西溪云庐

In modern China, culture, history, urbanization and other reasons have already completed a fission with the original history in the way of life.  In the shortest possible time, there is a great agitation of style, a great crowding of symbolic s, and what is China's big question.

Cases like China are rarely found in other parts of the world.  Seemingly divided, it is the precious soil for aesthetic research for designers.  It provides a good opportunity to break the inherent standards and make use of design as a means to make issues more open.

In this project, facing an absolute traditional Chinese architectural form, we have two choices, either cater to or split up, respond to form or respond to life. We chose the latter. 

When we talk about interior design today, it is no longer the same context as the interior decoration of Tang, Song, Ming and Qing dynasties. 

A big proposition has emerged, what is China? 

Before giving an answer to this question, we can at least answer, what is not China? Symbols and elements are definitely not China. Can't fall in contemporary life, not real life; A tradition that cannot point to the future is not a tradition. 

Based on this cognitive system, we have adopted a new combination of forms to appeal for the function of space and echo the contemporary spirit and life value.

In the two-story courtyard, 1F carries the basic functions of family living. On the basis of the longitudinal layout from the entrance hall into the living room, the carpet lines and the array distribution of pendant lamp devices echo each other to form the visual extension of the guest dining room and tea tasting area. The restaurant adds the artist He Junyi's work 'As if' to enhance the artistry of the whole space and the spirit of the present era. The guest restaurant breaks the traditional display layout, and the decoration is no longer so regular, seemingly random layout, increasing the freedom and individuality of the space.

The main sofa comes from the italian brand Arketipo. Dark green suede fabric is soft to the touch and combines with the shape of the product itself to create a comfortable and relaxing family atmosphere. Although Arketipo's products escape from the convention, each design can be integrated into any scene without breaking the convention or showing its edge.

The dining table comes from Portuguese brand LUXXU. The material texture of marble is naturally exposed, and the metal material is hard-edged. It is mixed, collided and harmonious in the soft fabric of Minotti dining chair.

The tea table in the tea tasting area comes from Armani. The lines are direct and simple, but the details are hidden. The alligator-like wood grain on the table is the first of its kind in the world, showing its uniqueness with luxurious, fashionable and hidden sexy expressions. The asymmetrical distribution of seats on both sides fits the temperament of free space.

On one side of the 1F courtyard, the best sunshine and courtyard scenery of the building are left for the elders to live in. The tone of the elder room is stable and comfortable, and cotton, hemp and wood grain materials form the main temperament of the space.

2F carries the space for the host to rest and interact. It is composed of a master bedroom, a boy's room and a parent-child interaction area. With comfort and scale as the appeal points, the master bedroom adopts the Ceccotti bed of an Italian national treasure brand, and the stable dark blue flannel is uniquely placed and soft. Baxter's side cabinet and Poliform's bedside cabinet echo each other with calm but individual temperament.

-1F has become the male owner's studio, appealing for functions, hobbies and experiences. After rationalizing and adjusting the spatial level, it has rich fullness and more complete functions. The large workbench is piled with books, tools, half-finished drawings and architectural models. It integrates the functions of exhibition, desk work and meeting. All experiences are 'present'.

The recreation area and the large book wall are excellent places to look for inspiration, and also carry the function of business negotiation. The rest area on one side and the recreated reclining chair can provide a short rest between jobs. Between space and space, smooth transition is achieved through the connection of materials.

-2F, as the space with the highest social 'concentration' in the whole residence, the design appeal point is to make people comfortable and free, to eliminate redundant cabinets and to strengthen the display function besides social intercourse.

The book bar area runs through -1F's large empty space, huge wooden boat installations from the 1950s in the United States, and art paintings collected from all over the country, which runs through the empty space and sets the theme for the whole space. At the top is a pair of blue ocean, looking from the horizontal position of -1F, as if this old ship, which has been sleeping for decades, has returned to the sea again.

1F is the living space for guests and meals, and courtyard resources are the core of the design and construction.The living room shapes the space and comfortable atmosphere, and the furniture is mainly comfortable, releasing the space scale-the tea table uses the combination of natural marble and brass, which has strong contemporary touch and forms a balanced composition with the restaurant's 'static stone' device.

The dining room's natural marble dining table is a bright spot, highlighting the texture of the stone itself. The wall installation 'light mark' at the end of the corridor echoes the light and shadow from the building window on the left.

-1F is the embodiment of the owner's personal interest and is an important part of forming spatial character.

Every book and collection on the bookshelf has been carefully selected to transform a private personal interest carrier into a 'person' with stories and preferences.

In a space, it is fun to distinguish and merge the movement and the movement.The west is called open space and private space, and there is also a gray space in the middle. In China, it is also called dynamic space, static space and neutral space.When life is static and when it is dynamic, follow the natural occurrence of life itself. For example, where there are children, it must be dynamic, and their private space must be static.Between these states, there must be gray space and transitional space, but there is no deliberate arrangement, because there is a normal occurrence of life, so the movement is naturally separated.

-2F carries the main functions of family interaction and social activities. We plan our activities according to the life style of our members, reflecting diverse demands and a relaxed and free life. The water bar area and the tea tasting area both provide the leisure space for the host and the guests to talk freely. The potted plant workshop and the courtyard are the display of the host's interests and hobbies, and realize the extension of the indoor space to the outdoor. With the children's activity area, the functional requirements of freedom and diversity can be met.

2F and 3F are spaces for families to rest. The design ensures the security and scale of personal space.The elder room is mild and comfortable, with low saturation tone and soft fabric texture, blending a quiet atmosphere of life. The children's room is light and accommodating, and it is more refreshing than coordinating the overall space temperament. The master bedroom is divided into sleep area and activity area by space scale, emphasizing leisure and comfort.
