每日晨读

The teacher is giving her students a written examination.

老师正在给学生们进行笔试。

She wants them to write a composition. 她想让他们写一篇作文。

The title is “My Dog.” No less than 150 word.

标题是“我的狗狗”。不少于150字。

Little Tom thinks for a moment, and then he begins to write: “I have a dog. I call him Bobby. I like my dog. He is all black, only the nose is white...” 

小汤姆思考片刻,然后开始写道:“我有一只狗。我叫他波比。我喜欢我的狗。他全身都是黑色,只有鼻子是白色的......”

Tom stops writing, counts the words: 21. He scratches his head, thinking for a few moments and continues: “Every day I take Bobby out for a bath. He likes having a bath , and I like giving him ...We both like it.”

汤姆停下来数了数字数:21。他挠了挠头,想了一会儿继续写:“每天我都给波比洗澡。他喜欢洗澡,我也喜欢给他洗澡......我们都喜欢洗澡。”

He counts the words again: 67.

他又数了数:67。

Tom scratches his head again, looks out of the window, looks at the blackboard, but finds nothing there.

汤姆又挠了挠头,看看窗外,又看看黑板,但什么也没发现。

He has to continue: “Bobby likes sugar, so I often give him some sugar. But sometimes we do not have any sugar in the house, and then I do not give him any...”

他不得不继续:“波比喜欢糖,所以我经常给他吃些糖。但是有时候房子里没有糖,我就不给他了......”

He stops for a long time. 他停下来了很长时间。

Suddenly a thought strikes Tom. 突然汤姆有了灵感。

He smiles happily and writes quickly: “When I want Bobby to come, I call ‘Bobby’. If he does not come, I call again, ‘Bobby! Bobby! Bobby!’...”

他开心的笑起来,然后快速写下:“当我想让波比过来,我会叫‘波比’。如果他没过来,我再叫‘波比!波比!波比!’......”

Tom counts the words : 149. He adds one more “Bobby” , …writes down his name at the bottom of the paper and hands it in to the teacher.

汤姆数了一下字数:149。于是他又多加了一个“波比”......在卷子底下写了自己名字并交给了老师。
