Yet still hard to put into words. Because love, for me, is less about definitions than examples.Modern Love 里的 love 不只是 romantic love，不只是玫瑰和拥吻。它有酸甜苦辣，有不甘也有黑暗。相比电视剧版本，我更喜欢这些原版故事，因为它们多了层真实。先从里面学点英文。内容不多，够你消化一会儿啦。少食多餐，重点「杀熟」。- Was she sweet-talking me?

self-deprecating 就是我们常说的「自黑」，schitick 是个萌萌的意第绪语，理解为「花招」「风格」就可以。恋爱时的那点小心思， 不就是 schtick 吗？- I lay on the bed next to him; he put his arm over me and we sort of spooned.
spoon 在这里的用法也很萌，我之前在口语书中也写过。忘了的话，自己去查查好不好？自己查了更容易记住呢。 - He wasn't really a texter.
太喜欢这种 -er 结尾的词，说一个人不是 texter，就是说他不经常发信息，你给他发信息他半天才回那种。后面有类似的说法：Her life story is the real crowd-pleaser.这个 crowd-pleaser 是不是可以理解为「喜闻乐见」？你有啥不开心的事吗？说出来，让大家开心一下...- They were colleage sweethearts.
后面还有一个同款：My folks are high school sweethearts。校园恋人知道该怎么说了吧？- It was my Lloyd Dobler moment, holding a boom box over my head, blasting "In Your Eyes."
这段话来自电影梗。当你鼓起勇气向他告白，想让全世界都知道你喜欢他，这可能就是你的 Lloyd Dobler moment。

没看过 He's Just Not That Into You 可能也听过吧？这里的 XX is a case study in He's Just Not Taht Into You，可理解为「XX 就是这部电影中的那种典型」。如果你有这种感受：我深深的爱着你，你却爱着一个傻X，傻X他不爱你，你还给他织毛衣... 这是你可能就是 a case stuy in He's Just Not That Into You。- I was clingy and desperate and wore my heart on my sleeve, falling madly in love repeatedly, only to meet with heartbreaking rejection at every turn.
读到 wore my heart on my sleeve，被戳了一下。脑袋里飘过：我们的故事爱就爱到值得 / 错也错的值得 / 是执著是洒脱 / 留给别人去说... 你有没有那么勇敢地爱过一个人，你想依赖他你想你的世界里只有他？爱他爱到他喘不过气，爱到他会离你而去？
