容易混淆的词组用法与区别

19.no less than多达，有……之多 & not less than不少于

用法：no less than表示“多达”，侧重数量多，还可以引申为“简直，与……没有差别”，如He is no less than a robber. （他就像强盗一样。）而not less than则表示“不少于，至少”。

例句1：He earned no less than 1,000,000 dollars last year. （2014年12月六级）

他去年赚的钱多达100万美元。

结构分析：He是主语， earned是谓语（earn的过去式，过去一般时），no less than 1,000,000 dollars是宾语（no less than和1,000,000是两个前置定语，修饰dollars）， last year是时间状语。

例句2：I remembered that he stayed at the house not less than five days.

我记得他至少在房子里待了五天。

结构分析：I是主语， remembered是谓语（remember的过去式）， that引导宾语从句， he是主语， stayed at是谓语， the house是宾语，not less than five days是状语。

20.no more than仅仅，只有 & not more than不多于，不超过

用法：no more than表示“仅仅，只有”，侧重数量少，相当于only。而not more than表示“不多于，不超过”，侧重“最多”，相当于at most。

例句1：You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words. （2016年6月四级）

你至少要写120个单词，但不要超过180个。

例句2：A hot lunch can contain up to 30% fat, but not more than 10% of its calories (卡路里) should come from saturated (饱和的) fat. （2013年6月四级）

一顿热乎乎的午饭含有30%的脂肪，但不超过10%的卡路里应该来自饱和的脂肪。

动词短语： again and again & over and over一次又一次，反复

异同之处：again and again和overand over意思是“一次又一次，再次”，在句中作状语修饰动词，表示动作的重复性。同义短语还有over and over again, time and again。

例1：Its bike prices have to be lowered again and again. (2014年12月四级)

例2：The black driver played the same songs in his car over and over.
