这首歌的曲调，跟前面《Monkeys on the Bed 床上的小猴子 - 英语儿歌听唱跳202014》是一样的。英语儿歌里，这样同一曲调、不同歌词的情况，其实还是不少的。

这首歌唱的是六只小鸭子，不过既没有减少、也没有增加，是小鸭子们出去玩，有一只小鸭子带队，唱的就是这个。

这又是一首双行体（couplet）韵脚的歌曲，每两行同一个韵结尾，比如go、fro，比如knew、too（都是/u:/），都是这样。
