What is the difference between the games people play now and those people played in the past?

现在人们玩的游戏和过去人们玩的游戏有什么不同？

I assume this question is about children playing games. I think in the past children played a lot more outside than they do nowadays. They would play games in the park, on just in the street or the local playground. The games were quite simple and wouldn't need much to play them. Games like soccer, hopscotch, tag, hide and seek etc. At home children would play board games as they didn't have computers or mobile phones. Board games such as Monopoly, Cluedo, checkers, and Risk for example.

Now I think most of the time children play games on their phone or computer. They'll either play alone or online with some friends. It's quite rare to see children playing outside these days, which I think is really sad. I don't have any children so I'm not quite sure why this is the case. It might be that parents don't think it's safe outside, or maybe the parents are just too busy to take them outside and have to monitor them. 

Some of my happiest childhood memories are from playing outside with my friends. It's such a pity that many children today don't get the opportunity to experience this.
