2. Patrick,seeing as a fanatical opponent of Mr.Lane's Radical Progressive Party,went to his house three times and asked the policeman whether it was Mr.Lane' house.

3. The same question was asked to the policeman at the third time that made the policeman angry and then he said Mr.Lane not only was defeated in the elections but also has retired from political life as well.

4. On receiving this news,Patrick said it was something that he loved to hear .
