（Friday） 新任英国铁血女首相--特蕾莎·梅 A few days ago, Brexit was a blast, David Cameron the British Prime Minister quit, the British pound weakened and political infighting disputed. Those just seem like the actual version of House Cards and Game of Thrones. Finally, on July 14th of 2016, Theresa May is formally appointed as the 13th Prime Minister of Britain by the Queen that is the second female Prime Minister as well. After being appointed, the Queen meets her in the Buckingham Palace. Subsequently, she enters the No.10 Downing Street and begins her life of Prime Minister. 几天前，英国脱欧，前首相大卫·卡梅伦“负气”辞职，英镑下跌，政治内斗纷争，仿佛就是现实版的《纸牌屋》和《权利与游戏》。终于，在北京时间2016年7月14日特蕾莎·梅被英国女王任命为第13届首相，也是英国有史以来第二位女性首相。被任命后，女王在白金汉宫接见了新首相。随后，特蕾莎·梅入住唐宁街10号，宣告她的新首相生涯开始！ First Inaugural Address of Theresa May I have just been to Buckingham Palace where Her Majesty the Queen has asked me to form a new government and I accepted. In David Cameron I follow in the footsteps of a great modern Prime Minister. Under David’s leadership, the government stabilized the economy, reduced the budget deficit, and helped more people into work than ever before. But David’s true legacy, is not about the economy, but for the social justice. From the introduction of same sex marriage to taking people on low wages out of income tax altogether. David Cameron has led a one nation government and it is in that spirit that I also plan to lead. 我刚从白金汉宫出来，在那里女王陛下要求我组建新政府，我接受了。我所接任的大卫·卡梅伦是一位伟大的现代首相,在他的领导下我们的政府保持经济稳定，削减财政赤字，比以往任何一届政府都多的帮助更多人实现就业。然而卡梅伦首相最大的贡献,不仅在于经济，更在于对社会公正的推进，从同性婚姻合法化到为低收入者减税。大卫·卡梅伦领导了一个英国（英国保守党政治理念）的政府，我也将以精神继续传承下去领导新政府。 Because not everybody knows this, but the full title of my party is the Conservative and Unionist Party and that word unionist is very important to me. It means we believe in the union, the precious, precious bond between England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. But it means something else that is just as important. It means we believe in a union not just between the nations of the United Kingdom but between all of our citizens—every one of us whoever we are and wherever we’re from. 因为不是所有人都知道，但是我党的全称是保守与统一党。而“统一”这个词对我来说是具有很重要的意义，那意味着我们坚持的这个联合是英格兰、苏格兰、威尔士和北爱尔兰，无比珍贵的结合。而且，这个词还代表了其他，同样重要的另一个意义。它意味着我们坚信的这个联合，不仅仅是联合王国下的各地的结合，也是我们所有英国公民的结合。包括每一个人，不管你是谁，不论你从哪里来。 That means fighting against the burning injustice that if you’re born poor you will die on average nine years earlier than others. If you’re black, you are treated more harshly by the criminal justice system than if you’re white. If you’re a white working class boy, you’re less likely than anybody else in Britain to go to university. If you’re at a state school, you’re less likely to reach the top professions than if you’re educated privately. If you’re a woman, you will earn less than a man. If you suffer from mental health problems, there’s not enough help to hand. If you’re from an ordinary working class family, life is much harder than many people in Westminster realize. You have a job, but you don’t have job security. You have your own home, but you worry about paying the mortgage. You can just about manage, but you worry about the cost of living and getting your kids into a good school. If you are one of those families, if you’re just managing, I want to address you directly. I know you’re working around the clock. I know you’re doing your best and I know that sometimes life can be a struggle. 但是，“让英国为每个人服务”这一使命，不仅仅意味着对抗这些不公平。如果你出身于普通的工人阶级家庭，你的生活富人所要了解的更加艰难。如果你有工作，但并不是总有工作保障。如果你有自己的房子，你在为偿还抵押贷款而忧心。你可以勉强维持生计，但你担心生活开支，担心孩子能不能提供孩子就读好学校的教育费用。如果你是来自这种家庭，如果你在勉强维持生计，我想直接给你们告诉你们。我知道，你们夜以继日工作；我知道，你们已经尽力做到最好；我知道，有时候生活可能是一种奋斗。 The government I lead will be driven not by the interests of the privileged few but by yours. We will do everything we can to give you more control over your lives. When we take the big calls, we will think not of the powerful, but yours. When we pass new laws, we will listen not to the mighty, but you. When it comes to taxes, we will prioritize not the wealthy, but you. When it comes to opportunity, we won’t entrench the advantages of the fortunate few. Following the referendum, we face a time of great national change. And I know because we’re Great Britain, we will rise to the challenge. As we leave the European Union, we will forge a bold new positive role for ourselves in the world and we will make Britain a country that works not for a privileged few but for every one of us. Even though, over one hundred years goes by, they two share the same political concepts. What’s more, she was considered as the emerging superstar in politics in the past. What a gorgeous and graceful lady! However, she is just nightmare for those overseas students and emigrants. After Auntie came into power, she has introduced many terrible policies. Once she said that her target of the emigrants from overseas students is zero. How dares her? Now, she becomes the Prime Minister of Britain and she has to handle with more things. Maybe she has no energy to deal with them. Leave us alone—from overseas students! 梅姨，除了政治上有所作为，生活中还是一位时尚达人，懂得时尚穿搭，妆容精致,曾被冠以“政坛新兴超模”。如此优雅的梅姨，却是留学生和移民的噩梦。自从梅姨上台后出台很多可怕的政策，她曾公开表示，留学生移民数量目标为零！她怎么可以这样！！！现在她变成首相，事情应该比较多，应该不会再去纠结留学生吧！留学生的心声—不要管我们！ 知识拓展：梅姨出台的那些“丧心病狂”的政策 为什么会这么说？为什么她丧心病狂？ 在梅姨上台之前，英国工党（亲移民政党）执政13年，出台了许多亲移民政策，那时候留学生想留下来还很简单，其中包括： 2007年，国际毕业生留英项目IGS任何在英国大学或学院取得本科及本科以上学历的国际学生，都可以在毕业后留英一年，用来寻找工作或体验生活，无需工作签证。 2008年，IGS正式进化成为PSW签证年限又增加了一年。 凭借PSW签证，任何在英国大学毕业的本科及以上的国际学生，可以在英居待上2年时间，你可以在这两年里在英国做任何的事情。可以旅游，可以工作，可以创业，可以玩乐...... 而自从梅姨上台后，首先。。。 2012年，梅姨的英国内政部宣布：PSW签证，正式取消。 留学生毕业之后想要留在英国最大的一条路，正式被堵死！ 2014年，梅姨又想出新招，想把所有欧盟以外的国际学生，在课程结束毕业之后立刻赶走！ 2015年，梅姨继续砍，对在英国读书的总年限，做出了限制！ 比如在本科以下高中最多只能在英国读2年，3年的本科最多只能读5年！ 梅姨，放过我们这群留学生吧！！！如果现在想去英国留学，记得做好心理准备额！！！ ☞ ☞ 作者：陈珺洁，感性与理性的融合，渴望汲取世间最美的精华，跨越世界去进行无止尽的修行！我在英语共读等你！ |
