Remarks : Quick firing field gun, with recoil system with hydraulic buffer and springs, prismatic wedge breech mechanism, traverse on pivot. It was equipped with Goerz panorama sight, but it was not fitted for an independent line of sight. The sight was graduated up to 5800 m. The shield was made of hardened Nickel steel and had a conical hood projecting forward for additional protection. It was composed by two parts. The upper shield was in two separate portions, the upper part mobile, the lower one fixed. It had two little windows for laying. The lower shield was mobile and could be folded up backwards for travelling. It employed also Ehrhardt (Rheinmetall) ammunition bought in 1908. The Turkish Army ordered 15 six-guns batteries of this model in 1910. Even if Bulgarian sources often refer to these guns as 75mm Krupp M. 1909, I prefer to use the denomination M. 1910, since they were ordered in 1910. |
