今天我们来学几个短语表达，这些都是在日常生活中经常会用得到的。学英语说难很难，说不难也不难，难就难在坚持，不难就在日常的积累。每天学一点，久而久之，你的英语就不可同日而语啦！

1  out of luck 运气不好

Looks like we’re out of luck. They’re all sold out.

 

看起来好像我们运气不好。它们全都卖光了。

A: Two tickets in the front row, please.

B: I’m sorry, sir. You’re out of luck. There are no more seats available.

A：请给我两张前排的票。

B：对不起，先生。你运气不好。没有座位了。

2  turn sb. down 拒绝（某人的请求、忠告等）

I asked her for a date, but she turned me down.

我约她，可她拒绝了。

A: You are doing all this stuff by yourself! Why?

B: I asked him to help me, but he turned me down.

A：这些事就你一个人做！为什么？

B：我叫他帮我，可是他拒绝了。

3  keep it/this to oneself  保守秘密；不把……讲出来。

I want you to keep this to yourself. OK?

我要你不要讲这件事。好吗？

A: Don’t breathe a word about this.

B: Don’t worry. I’ll keep it to myself.

A：这事儿你一个字也别说。

B：别担心。我不会和别人说的。

4  have no idea 不知道；不知情

We have no idea what the boss is going to do.

我们不知道老析准备干什么。

A: Do you know when she’s leaving?

B: I have absolutely no idea.

A：你知道她什么时候离开吗？

B：别担心。我不会和别人说的。

5  hang on 等一下；等待；别挂电话

hang on a second/hang on a minute

等一会儿

Hang on a second, George. Someone’s at the door.

等等，乔治。门口有人。

A: Can I leave a message for Mr. Bright?

B: Hang on while I get a pen.

A：我能不能留个口信给布莱特？

B：别挂电话，我拿支笔。
