有时候我们在说某个事情时觉得不想再说下去了，这时，你想到的话是不是： Let’s not talk about it anymore. 我们不要再谈这事了。 这句话没问题，不过，有个更为形象、地道的说法： Let’s drop it. 我们不要讲了。 这个表达的意思就是“马上停止讨论此话题（stop discussing this subject at once）”，形象一点想，即是：把这话题放下丢掉。也含有叫人“Forget it!”或“Never mind!”的意思。 Just drop it. 不要讲了。 Drop it! I should never have brought it up. 不讲了！我就不应该提起这事。 Yes, I was late today – can we just drop it now? 是啊，我今天迟到了——能不再讲了吗？ I don't want to talk about my ex anymore!
