T: we sang this song, so it is a head. (eg. shoulders…) (Ss start to describe their body) T: Well done. Does a penguin have a head? (eg. Giraffe-neck) Ss: Yes. T: Great! What do they do with their body parts? This is the book we are going to read. | 1.Music-Head, shoulders, knees and toes1 | 阅读中 20 mins | First, read the story rhythmically. During reading, teacher can ask some questions about the story, and practice the actions. Suggested questions: What do you see? What’s this? What are they doing? What animal is it? What can you do with your hands/ neck? What will happen next? Can you show me your …? How many toes do you have? | From head to toe2 | 阅读后 25 mins | 1.Bubble gum T will give an order:”Bubble gum, bubble gum, hands to hands.”Then, students will put their hands together and say the sentence pattern-They are hands. 2.Puzzles T need to prepare several body parts cards, asks Ss what it is ot what they are? Then Ss can put these cards together and make a picture. 3.I am an artist T will divide Ss into 2 groups, and let them have a competition about drawing body parts. T: One student from each group need to draw a card and draw it on the floor. The group that finishes first wins. 4.Little teacher Choose a student to be a teacher, this little teacher will give instructions to others. For example, little teacher says “toes”, others should touch their toes. | 1.Body parts FC 2.Body parts puzzles3 3.Markers | 总结 5 mins | Freezing All the students need to freeze when the teacher says “freeze”, and move their body follow the directions.
