He also studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris and the Julian Academy. In 1880, artists and friend painters Hans olde and Claus Meyer visited Paris and Italy many times. Max nonnenbruch is very keen to participate in the artistic life of Munich. He was president of the Munich artists support association and a member of the German general art society. He was also the Secretary of the exhibition Committee of the international art exhibition at the Glass Palace in Munich in 1892. In the 1890s, the painter went to England and France many times.
