Game of Thrones is part of Song of Ice and Fire, which is a series of epic fantasy novels written by an American novelist. The story takes place on the fictional continents Westeros and Essos, where seasons last for years on end. The principal story chronicles a power struggle for the iron throne of Westeros after king Rober’s death. It is primarily told through the House of Stark and Lannister. The second story takes place on the northern border of Westeros, where on eight-thousand-year-old wall of ice defends Westeros from the others, the Wall’s sentinels.
