【原】不好意思，我不是你想象的那个意思！

英语中有许多单词长的很像我们较早学的单词，所以很多童鞋就take them for granted（想当然）认为就是某某意思。

(注：意思相同的，如：homelike 和homely，famed和famous等，意思相近的，如：fun和funny，house和housing等以及一词多义的，均不在此次归纳范围。)

先从一组大家都熟悉的开始吧：

hard 努力的/地，费力的/地   hardy 几乎不

所以，“努力学习/工作”说成work hard，形容词则是：hard-working。
